Hi, I’m Paula!
At Joyful Face Painting, I turn little faces into big moments of wonder. From sparkling snowflakes to brave superheroes, rainbow butterflies and Christmas favourites, every design is painted with care, creativity and a gentle touch.
What began as a joyful creative passion has grown into a professional offering that blends my love of artistry with my background in psychology, leadership and human connection.
I’m known for my warm, joyful presence and my ability to help even the shyest children feel safe, excited and included. With a current Working With Children Check, full Public Liability Insurance, and cosmetic-grade, skin-safe paints compliant with Australian AICIS standards, your event is always in safe, professional hands.
Before face painting, I spent many years working in leadership, coaching psychology, HR and learning & development, partnering with major organisations including Qantas and Volkswagen. I hold a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology (University of Sydney) and a Bachelor of Business (HR & Marketing), giving me a unique blend of empathy, organisation and professionalism that I bring to every event I attend.

All products are cosmetic-grade, skin-safe and compliant with Australian AICIS standards. I use professional brands designed specifically for face and body art — never craft paint or unsafe materials. Glitters and gems are cosmetic-safe too.

Yes! I create beautiful designs for kids, teens and adults, from soft children’s art to glittery, sparkly event looks. Everyone deserves a little magic.

On average, I paint 10–15 faces per hour (quick, simple designs) or 8–10 if the event prefers more detailed artwork. For high-volume events, I keep designs fast, fun and consistent.

A small table and two chairs are perfect.
If you don’t have them, just let me know. I can bring my own setup.
No power is required. -
I follow strict hygiene standards, including:
• One sponge per child
• Brushes sanitised between colours
• Fresh water changed regularly
• Deep Clean kit before every event
• No painting on broken skin or unwell children -
Yes — I can paint at outdoor events.
All I need is:
• Shade (marquee, umbrella or cover)
• Protection from wind and rain
• A flat, safe area for the setupThis keeps the paints clean and the experience comfortable for everyone.
